The funky drum beat and riff of 'Phenomena' by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs fills the arena and the quirky yet energetic Salem appears at the entrance wearing a hooded dark purple cloak with silver trim, the hood pulled over her eyes. She carries a silver cane, the top a silver claw gripping a dark purple crystal that has a plasma globe effect. She's tapping her foot and bopping her head to the beat...
She raises both hands and motions for the fans to get hyped, swinging the cane, then bops her way toward the ring in time with the song, popping her shoulders up and down, swaying her arms around with a coy smile and wink to the audience.
She steps up the ring steps, throws her hood back, clutches the top rope and puts her feet on the bottom rope, gazing around and rocking up and down on the ropes...
She slides through the ropes, twirls off her cloak with a flourish and drops to a knee in the center of the ring, extending her arms out holding up the cane and playing to the crowd as the music fades. She takes the cloak and cane to the corner, ready for the match.

She unstraps the belt and raises it over head in both hands and motions for the fans to get hyped, dropping the belt over her shoulder and swinging the cane, then bops her way toward the ring in time with the song, popping her shoulders up and down, swaying her arms around with a coy smile and wink to the audience.

BIOGRAPHY
Born in Laval, Quebec, Canada but has lived most of her life in New Hampshire. Has lived in New Jersey, Miami, and Toronto more recently although she moved back to Laval. Her mother was a librarian and her father a college professor. Something of a disappointment because she didn't go on to higher learning but her folks love her just the same. Has an older sister Morgan who is exactly two years older than her, and a brother Stephen. Former Wiccan, respects their beliefs but not a devout follower anymore. Distantly related to the Cartier jeweler family, although not in line to get any money. Lived on a tree hugger commune for months because she was bored and becoming a nun was out of the question. Dated an unsavory veteran pro wrestler for a minute, where she got her only real wrestling training prior to joining HKW.
Spends her free time knitting (just ask Brandon Banks, she knitted his son a hat once!), eating junk food, watching bad movies and cartoons. All through this she has a certain charismatic quality about her; and appears to be an inadvertent teen icon and the face of rebellion and being different. She begrudgingly accepts the role, knowing she's no hero but someone has to make a stand sometimes... perhaps it's her love of the movie The Legend of Billie Jean (1985). No matter what she does, people seem to dig her and sometimes want a deep philosophical message from her... but she'd rather talk about the bad '80s movie she saw last week and her favorite brands of cereal, or rattle off song lyrics.
Spent the better part of 2014 in Hard Knox wrestling (HKW) where she captured the now defunct Cyber Championship and held it for 153 days, which to this time is the longest reign in that belt's existence in both HKW and PDW. Spent most of 2015 in GPW where she tagged with Nina Stokes as Magic Bullet/Wicked Strong, where they become tag title contenders but did not win the belts. Returned to HKW in 2016 after a ten month absence, vowing to be bigger and better than ever before; a more focused and seasoned grappler. Won the Bloodlust Title on her first night back. Former FGA Mid-Atlantic Legacy Champion (10/15/16-12/24/16).
Tries to balance the public eye with her home life. Had a nasty breakup and marriage that was annulled. She married Artemis Kaiser on Dec. 31, 2015.
In late 2016 she went looking for her daughter Lily who she hadn’t seen since a newborn in 2010. This led her to get captured by a cult-like group. In the summer of 2017 she appeared to return as a more savage and violent person, but apparently that was a member of the cult (and true blood daughter of David Cartier) posing as her to help ruin her name. Finally Salem escaped the facility in the fall of 2017 and is now reunited with Artemis and the rest of her family. No longer recognizes the Cartier name for various reasons, her birth surname was technically supposed to be Byrne (she discovered she was the daughter of Elizabeth Cartier and family friend/groundskeeper William Byrne). After readjusting to normal life, she has nursed herself back to health and returned to wrestling fulltime in 2018 in FGA. Salem and Artemis were divorced in August, 2018.
