PRO WRESTLING NEO: SELECT YOUR FIGHTER
NIGHT TWO LIVE FROM THE COCA-COLA COLISEUM IN TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA
OPENER "THE JESTER AND THE EMPRESS" The Harlequin vs. Artemis Kaiser
The fans were treated to a wonderful sight to begin Night Two. The intense entrance of Artemis Kaiser brought many of the more sadistic fans to their feet. As she entered, she was void of the 4CW Ignition Champion. Instead, she lacked many of the features that most knew from her. She didn’t have the red streak of paint across her nose. She didn’t deck out in Red Lantern gear. Instead, she wore a throwback to her earlier days with hints of pink and purples in her attire.
Standing on the other end of the ring was the returning Melissa Ramsey, or rather, the Harlequin. The former GIW Undisputed Champion tipped her hat to her friend and the bell rung with the two of them circling around the ring. Harlequin skipped, moreover, and gracefully got into the lock-up. Artemis easily brought Harlequin down towards the ground, forcing her into a bridge. Artemis stood there for a moment before jumping up and down onto her stomach, pinning her to the mat. Harlequin laid there, not emoting beyond just the clever smirk on her face. She lifted her back off the mat, but Artemis merely lifted herself back and brought her weight down again. The Last Empress didn’t drop any bombs on The Harlequin, merely sitting there, making sure she couldn’t move. Harlequin rocked back and forth, able to get Artemis off her, but she had to transition into another position. Artemis held Harlequin’s arm and slowly replaced her hand with her foot. Once standing, Artemis proceeded to jump up, but Harlequin moved out of the way of the stomp. She tripped Artemis and secured a bodyscissors, squeezing Artemis’ waist with the hold.
For a moment, they remained in a constant lock, trying to reverse around. After transitioning the bodyscissors into a pin attempt, Harlequin found herself into a kimura lock. Getting to her feet and punching Artemis in the ribs let her counter the kimura into a Northern Lights Suplex. She floated back into the full mount, but Artemis was quick to slide out of the position. Harlequin returned to a standing position, where the audience began to clap for the technical and respectful match at hand. Artemis, while giggling, clapped for her friend and rival, leading to Harlequin bowing to the audience. When they got back to the match, the pace quickened.
Starting off with an evasion and counter sequence, the two clashed. Artemis threw out a roundhouse kick. Harlequin ducked and went for a rising Wheel Kick, but Artemis leaned back to evade it. Harlequin jumped over a leg sweep and tried to send Artemis to the mat with a hurricanrana. Artemis rolled into the ground and got to her feet. Hitting her chest into the turnbuckle, Artemis caught the arriving Harlequin into a kneebar attempt, but Harlequin merely twirled in the opening part of the clutch. Artemis got back up, but Harlequin’s arm locked around hers and tried to send her into the ground with an armdrag. Artemis switched around in the grip and shoved her opponent towards the rope. Harlequin came back with a bicycle kick attempt, but Artemis evaded to the left. She tried for a German Suplex, but Harlequin reversed it into a victory roll pin. Artemis kicked out at two, but moved fast enough to get into a jackknife hold. The crowd got excited about Cure for Insomnia (Reverse Neckbreaker), but Harlequin shoved her legs out of Artemis’ grip and brought her down to the mat with a pin. Artemis powered out at two.
When she got up, Harlequin came at her with Clownin’ Around (Koppu Kick) but the Last Empress was about to counter by capturing the leg. Artemis started to lay down into a grapevine ankle lock, but Harlequin used the small time frame to lift her up. Sending her free foot up, Harlequin caught Artemis underneath the chin with a kick. Artemis fell into the ropes, but came back with the rotation for the First Crusade. Harlequin ducked underneath it, grabbed Artemis, and turned her around for Jokes On You (Implant DDT). Artemis wouldn’t take to it, bringing up her fist into Harlequin’s stomach.
Taking no time for recovery, Artemis grabbed Harlequin’s arm, going for the Second Crusade (Ripcord Elbow Smash), but Harlequin pushed herself further forward. The crowd gasped at the contact, believing it to be a headbutt. However, when the camera caught Artemis’ face, there was a hint of red in her cheeks and on her lips. It was a minor glimpse before Harlequin hit her swiftly with a knee to either the midsection or the groin. It was enough to let Harlequin roll Artemis up and get the three count.
After the bell rung, Harlequin got to her feet. Artemis got up, wiping the lipstick off her and she gave Harlequin a brief look before…
Well, she started laughing.
Artemis Kaiser laughing.
Not evilly.
Not with some murderous intent.
It was actual glee. She hugged the Harlequin before raising her arm in respect. The two then left the ring after giving the audience a bow.
WINNER: The Harlequin via Pinfall (Rollup)
"ALL IN GOOD FUN, RIGHT?" Finn Whelan vs. Mariano Fernandez
The bell rang and immediately Whelan showed his normally aggressive ways as he sprinted out the gate and came straight for Mariano. Whelan, usually the smaller stature competitor, faced a rare occurrence here with Fernandez being the slightly undersized man. Fernandez used that fact to his advantage and ducked out from Whelan’s clothesline; he then caught him on his turn around and fired shots at Whelan’s head, which made him pause. While keeping Whelan uneven, he kept the speed rush going with a few more shots and low kick to the stomach. Next, he went for a snap suplex before quickly rising to his feet, which got a strong response from the crowd. Fernandez gave a smile, enjoying his time in the ring as always, before Finn started to work his way to a seated position. Fernandez noticed him coming to his feet and gave Finn a “problem?” with his trademark smirk.
This, of course, gave Whelan all the motivation to get to his feet and more of a dark focus in his eyes as he came forward towards Fernandez. This time he threw his hands up, egging Fernandez to lock up with him in a war of power. Fernandez showed hesitation, knowing he was smaller. But shortly afterwards, he decided why not and went for it. As soon as his hands rose up, Whelan kicked Manny’s midsection, which brought a chorus of boos down while he chopped his way through Manny’s chest all the way toward the turnbuckle. Finn kept the fire down on Fernandez with a few more right hands before he whipped him to the other side. Fernandez hit the turnbuckle hard enough that he popped right back out of it. He struggled his way forward, right into Whelan who lifted Fernandez up and dropped him with a harsh brainbuster right onto his knee; the move stalled the crowd’s cheers, as they had hoped for a counter or resurgence from Manny. Finn followed with a pin.

--KICKOUT by Manny.
The crowd got some life back following the short pin. Finn looked as if he expected the kick out from Fernandez. He rose to his feet and sized his opponent up as Manny looked like he was trying to get himself togeth—a sliding clothesline from Whelan connected, which made up for the missed clothesline in the beginning of the match.
The crowd booed Whelan. He smirked while he rose to his feet and gave Manny a few stomps for good measure. Being near the turnbuckle, Whelan measured Fernandez up while he climbed to the top. Perched up, Whelan jumped off looking for the senton...Manny moved at the last second, which made Whelan hit the mat. Fernandez used the ropes to get up and waited as Whelan regrouped and got up himself. The crowd was into the moment as Manny approached Whelan, but Whelan caught Manny off guard with a forearm. Whelan returned a forearm. They traded. Shot after shot after shot. The crowd traded with them. “Boo-yay-boo-yay” back and forth until Manny hit The Gadfly (Step-Up Enzuigiri). Whelan dropped. Manny pinned him.

--KICKOUT!!
“Twwwwooooo!” The crowd screamed out with a few “ohhs” in response to Manny almost winning. Manny doesn’t let it phase him as he looked to the ropes and prepared to end it. He headed to the apron just as Whelan started to stir. Timing it right, Manny yelled out “FOR THE EMPEROR!” as he winded up for The Warhammer (Phenomenal Forearm). Whelan saw it coming, and this time, he’s ducked out of harm’s way. This left Manny open. He turned around and caught a backfist like a pimp does a red light district hooker. Whelan then pulled him in by the wrist and…Revelation 6:4 (The Bitter End). The crowd “oohed” at the impact. He ded. Whelan pinned him.

”BEST FRIENDS FIGHT THE HARDEST" Barbara Anne Renfro vs. Ashleigh Powell
Barbara Anne Renfro and Ashleigh Powell showed that they are clearly a pair of close friends at the very start as they opened the match with a handshake and a smile, the fans reacted well to this show of sportsmanship and as the bell rang the pair nodded and engaged for the first time. Babs’ wrestling style of impact and high flying was polar opposite to Ashleigh’s technical and submissions arsenal, Babs clearly being wary of getting into a clinch with Ashleigh but still engaging her with a dazzling series of martial arts styled kicks that Ashleigh weathered or dodged but Powell was caught by Renfro’s Cartwheel Bomb and Babs got a two, Ashleigh kicked out firmly and the match went on. Ashleigh rolled up to her feet and swept Babs as she kipped up, maneuvering herself into position to get Babs’ arm into a Chicken Wing and then she worked to get the Crossface going, however Babs was able to contort herself and get a long leg out to set her boot on the rope just as Ashleigh was able to sink that in solid. She broke before the referee warned her realizing they were at the ropes which got Ashleigh a pop as she came back up to her feet, a nice moment for everyone.
The pair traded moves back and forth much to the delight of the fans, Babs with her forward Russian Legsweep The MWG Special taking Ashleigh back to the mat but as she floated over for a pin attempt Ashleigh got her with a Fujiwara Armbar! Oh this was bad, but Babs managed to counter out much to both of their surprises, however Powell wasn’t thrown off as she then caught Babs in a classic Bow and Arrow Rack! Babs was clearly feeling the strain of the move, yelling out especially as Ashleigh knew how to make the most of the hold as she held Babs up across her upraised knees! Babs was very vocal about how it felt even though she refused the referee asking if she wanted to tap, and managed after a few painful minutes to rock herself hard enough to slide out of the hold. Clearly feeling it she staggered up to her feet but evaded a legsweep by Powell, and caught her with a Snapmare Takedown as she started to rise, though as both were up Ashleigh was able to boost Babs right up and over her as she came in with a Lou Thesz Press and both went to the mat for a moment.
Babs was back up and took Ashleigh down with a Diving Crossbody, Powell was able to roll through however and create a pinning predicament, though Babs broke loose at two and a half! The fans cheered for the pair as they rolled and moved to get up, Ashleigh came up fast with a Kip Up Dropkick and Babs staggered back, dropped down on her butt against the turnbuckles - quickly it was clear to see why as the force of that kick so close had busted her open! A split at her hairline poured blood into her eyes and Ashleigh looked horrified, sliding in on her knees to check her friend. Babs slipped off her t-shirt to put pressure on before the referee looked and wiped her face, she kept telling Ashleigh it was cool, a medic slipped in and checked, did something and then the match started again. Whatever was done kept it from gushing though it did keep seeping and Ashleigh’s eyes kept going to the wound until Babs snapped her fingers and told her it was okay, they were going to finish the match!
The pair locked up again, Ashleigh looked to put this away quickly now with a Northern Lights Suplex that she bridged over for a pin, but Babs kicked out! More blood seeped from the cut as Babs popped up to her feet but she just wiped it out of her eyes and went in on Ashleigh, a Running Senton after a Dropkick to the chest netted her a two, but Ashleigh kicked out again and went to town on Babs after, catching her with her own Dropkick that struck Renfro’s right knee, followed by Powell executing a Backroll to her feet and then a classic DDT to the on her knees Babs! It seemed all over but just before three Babs threw the shoulder up! Ashleigh pulled her up to her feet and sent her off for a hard Irish whip, looking to catch her on the rebound and put her down but Babs dodged, hit the far ropes and came back with a huge Tornado Facebuster! Viva la Babs connected and Babs held on for the three just barely, Ashleigh kicking out just a few seconds too late! Whatever the ringside medic had done failed at that point and as Babs sat up more blood poured, Ashleigh and the referee checked on her as her husband Jack joined them and helped her to her feet, taking her to the back as the fans cheered for her and Ashleigh’s performance here tonight.
WINNER: Barbara Anne Renfro via Pinfall (Viva la Babs)
"A ROOKIE, A VETERAN, AND A CHAMPION WALK INTO A BAR" Hellraven vs. Kevin Hardaway vs. Ashley Marie Chase
Hellraven, the student of Jacqui Monroe, entered the match with two veterans with a determination that was admirable at the least. However, grim reality of a hand right came from Kevin Hardaway and a low dropkick from Ashley Marie Chase put an end to her fire early on. As she recovered on the outside, Hardaway and Chase locked up. The two tag team champions fought for position, where AMC had to use her speed to try not to fall prey to Hardaway’s clean power advantage. Hardaway muscled Chase into the air with a military press before dropping her down into a powerslam. Not one to forget, he trapped her in a cross armbar, completing a smooth transition from strength to technicality.
AMC escaped the hold and turned the match back into her favor, hitting a diving crossbody onto Hardaway. She waited for him to get up to try for the Name Dropper (Pedigree), but Hardaway reversed and slammed her down with a thunderous spinebuster. A DDT counter did save Chase’s life, but some of the brunt of the power kept from her getting up fast enough. She went to the corner, getting ready for the Walk of Fame (Spear). As she took off, Hellraven caught her with Quote the Raven (Discus Lariat)! AMC fell out of the ring, which led Hellraven to smile widely. Somewhere, her mentor would be smiling--well, soon to be frowning.
From the playbook of his own teacher, Kevin Hardaway knocked Hellraven clean out with Dead Aim (Running Knee) and got the easy three count. As he got up, he looked down at Hellraven and shrugged, knowing that the rookie mistake of the girl is what led to her downfall.
He wouldn’t take any chances, letting her learn the easy way.
WINNER: Kevin Hardaway via Pinfall (Dead Aim)
”BLOOD AND SWEETS" Scarlet Flint vs. Candy Mitsuyoshi
Things got on the wrong foot as Candy walked up to Scarlet and extended a hand, at least making the effort to do what is custom. Scarlet instead dismissively kicked it away, telling her to miss her with that bullshit. Candy just rolled her eyes and shrugged, not really caring about that reaction. But if the attempt to handshake annoyed her Scarlet’s mood worsened when the bell rang. She and Candy approached each other and Scarlet went to hit her with a clean right, only for Candy to catch it and take her to the mat, stretching her arm! Scarlet managed to quickly enough spin out of it and get away, but now Candy seemed to have an idea about how to deal with Scarlet, and that definitely annoyed the American Horror Story.
Candy kept control for the early part. Recognizing that Scarlet was foremost a striker, she worked to keep Scarlet from hitting her, letting her swing and using that against her to take her to the mat. She focused on working the arm, to deprive Scarlet of its use. She had an armbar, but released it when Scarlet fought back too much, only to get to her feet and take a run up, hitting a basement dropkick to the elbow, before she grabbed her as Scarlet went to get up to get revenge, dropping down with a double knee armbreaker that further hurt Scarlet’s right arm. She continued along that line, every move planned to in some way hit the arm and wear it further and further down.
But this caused Candy’s first problem. As she did all of this, that built something up in Scarlet. Anger, growing and growing every moment, a warhead in her heart. And it exploded out suddenly, as Candy pulled her to her feet (by the arm she had been working over), Scarlet suddenly leapt forward, smashing her head into Candy’s with a loud headbutt that sent the Japanese wrestler falling onto her behind, where Scarlet threw her leg out and kicked her right in the chest, sending her down onto her back. While the headbutt clearly hurt her too she was too caught up in her anger to let it get to her, as she dropped down and started dropping elbows (from her left arm only, notably) right onto Candy’s face! The official had to step in and force Scarlet off with threats of a DQ, much to her disgust. She did get up, but loomed over Candy as she got to her feet, and Scarlet immediately grabbed her. Scarlet worked through her aggression by violently dropping Candy, first with an implant DDT that she followed up by getting them both up and dropping her again with a left-sided reverse STO. She held onto it when they landed and used that to drive her fist into the side of Candy’s skull a few times (this clearly hurt her as well to do given Candy’s arm attacks, but she gritted through it), only stopping when the official started to step in, though she only stepped away a moment before throwing a kick out that hit Candy in the back, stopping her attempt to get to her feet. But despite that treatment when Candy managed to get to her feet, something that really got under Scarlet’s skin became clear.
Candy didn’t seem to care about how Scarlet had just treated her. Complete indifference on her face. This definitely pissed Scarlet off, but her attempt to continue the punishment was curtailed for a while as Candy used that anger against her, Scarlet’s sudden need to see a reaction from her allowing her to counter and move around Scarlet and take her down. Once again the arm work began, but Scarlet’s constant thrashing and swinging around made it difficult to keep anything going. And as time ticked on it became clear that the disinterest was working against her. She wasn’t putting anything real behind anything she was doing, it was all applied the same, no urgency to anything. She didn’t care. But Scarlet did. Scarlet’s emotions were burning bright, she had an urgency, a goal that she wanted to achieve. And it was likely that extra push in her from that that allowed her to roll through on an armbar attempt, where she got her arm free before throwing a kick into the side of Candy’s head, rocking her. Candy tried to get to her feet, but Scarlet smelled blood in the water and threw out a quick kick to Candy’s knee, taking her to one knee before Scarlet blasted her with a jumping knee to the side of the head, known as the Death Note! She dropped onto Candy as she fell and rolled her over to cover, and got the 1-2-3!
WINNER: Scarlet Flint via Pinfall (Death Note)
”OH GOOD, A RESPECTFUL MATCH” Jolyne Dysart vs. Blaise Fader
Pro Wrestling Neo’s crowd was white hot for this one. Jolyne began the match by employing a stick-and-move tactic. She’d dart in and pepper Blaise with slaps and leg kicks, only to back out when the larger woman tried to strike back. This tactic worked up until Blaise caught ahold of a kick. Blaise drove the point of her elbow into Jo’s leg and then followed up with a stiff forearm strike. Blaise then charged in and floored her opponent with a shoulder tackle. Blaise shot herself into the ropes and rebounded with a massive leaping senton. She quickly rolled over and pinned Jolyne. Jo was able to kick out. Ms. Dysart rolled away and made it back to her feet; Blaise quickly gave chase. She hammered Jolyne with a series of European uppercuts before she whipped her into the ropes. Jolyne rebounded and countered by sliding underneath Blaise’s attack. Jo sprung to her feet and slapped Blaise with an enziguri. She the bounced off the ropes and connected with a dropkick. She tried for a pin, but effortlessly tossed her off.
The ball was rolling in Jolyne’s favor as she was able to drop the bigger woman to the mat with a corkscrew inverted neckbreaker. She followed that up with a nice springboard leg drop. She made another cover and got a two-count before Blaise kicked out. As Blaise got to her feet, Jo looked to take her out with a running forearm. But Blaise had other intentions as she lifted her opponent up and killed with her a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Blaise went for the cover, but this time it was Jolyne who kicked out. Blaise’s superior power was on display for a while as she nailed a snake-eyes only to follow her attack up with a nasty powerbomb. She went for the pin, but Jo kicked out once again. At that point, Jo tried to put distance between her and her opponent by rolling onto the ring apron. But Blaise pursued her and brought her back to her feet. Jo fired some elbows at her; Blaise responded. The two went back and forth for a bit, but Jo started to gain the upperhand. She then clocked, Blaise with a right hook, which allowed her to jet into the air. She grabbed Blaise by the neck and drove her down onto the ring apron with a jumping DDT. Both wrestlers spilled onto the outside.
Both competitors started to pull out some big time moves as the match went out. Jolyne nailed a leaping reverse STO. Blaise hit a spinebuster. Jo landed a Rolyne (rolling koppu kick). Blaise connected with an Exocet (running yakuza kick). The crowd became even more hot as the much went on. It was after a series of rapid forearms strikes that Jolyne sensed the end. She reared back and attempted her patented Power of Will (spinning superman elbow). But Blaise brought her hands together and clubbed down that elbow strikes. Blaise caught her with a headbutt to the chest before she spun Jo around and lifted her up. It wasn’t long before she rotated her and connected with the Coventry Blitz (argentine powerbomb). Blaise went for the cover and got the three-count! After the match, the crowd showed its support for both amazing wrestlers.
WINNER: Blaise Fader via Pinfall (Coventry Blitz)
HEADLINER "AN OLDIE, BUT A GOODIE" Michael Norcia vs. Silas Romero
With the bell, the two competitors locked up, each looking to probe the others’ strength. Whether Romero truly underestimated Norcia or not is up for debate, but regardless it was the Hand of God who took the initial advantage, overpowering Silas and forcing him back towards the ropes. Quick thinking from Silas kept him from trouble, however, as he delivered some blistering Shoot Kicks to the calf and thigh, weakening Michael enough to force him back. The back and forth test of strength continued for a few minutes, neither man willing to admit defeat, growing closer and closer together… until Norcia delivered a stiff Headbutt to Silas, dropping him to a knee! The force of the blow elicited a trickle of blood down Michael’s scarred brow, but he merely wiped it clear as he went to work. Putting his size advantage to use in those opening moments, capitalising with a stiff set of strikes before sending the 250lb Silas across the ring with an Exploder Suplex.
Michael tried to keep control, but Silas was too wily, and soon managed to take command of the match, reversing an Irish Whip to send Norcia into the corner, before following straight up with .44 Caliber Love Letter! Putting his speed advantage to use Romero peppered Norcia with some lightning fast strikes in the corner, not letting him even draw a breath, before letting him stagger into the ring. Silas tried to press that advantage further, but Norcia kept on coming back with his trademark heavy punches, keeping Silas from building too much of a rhythm. The back and forth war seemed like it would be without end, at least until Michael blasted Silas with a stiff Uppercut to the jaw, knocking Silas back. Norcia charged forward for a Lariat, only for Romero to duck it! Norcia spun… straight into a Superkick! As Norcia staggered back, Silas shouted at him “YOU WILL KNNEEELLLL!” before charging forward with his Kneel Before ZOD Single Leg Dropkick… only for Michael to drop slightly, catching him out of the air and bringing him crashing to the mat with a ring-shaking One Shoulder Powerbomb! A pin attempt followed, but Romero got the shoulder up.
The action continued, with Silas’ ring presence once more giving him the edge, regardless of the damage he’d picked up. After controlling Michael with a Guillotine Choke for a few, he pulled him up, twisting behind him to lock him in a Single Arm Straight Jacket, before spinning him out and bringing him back into a GKFO, the Elbow further splitting Michael open… but Norcia didn’t budge! Roaring with defiance, Michael shouted at Silas to try harder, before winding up for his own infamous Knockout Punch, the Hand of God… but whether it was blood obscuring his vision, of weariness from the Elbow, Silas was able to catch the punch by the wrist… locking Norcia into another Ripcord… AND ANOTHER GKFO! Norcia showed more effect from this one, but still didn’t drop. Shaking his head in disbelief, Silas grabbed Michael’s wrist once more, pulling him in close to once more set up for the Ripcord, only for Norcia to shove him away, hard into the ropes! Silas came back stumbling, Michael lined up another Hand of God… WORLD DESTROYER! The Running Roaring Elbow came out of nowhere, killing Michael’s momentum flat, and finally Norcia fell! Silas dropped to his knees, folded him up… and got the three!
WINNER: Silas Romero via Pinfall (WORLD DESTROYER)
MAIN EVENT
JCP CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
”REMEMBRANCE”
Evelyn Kuller vs. Ricky Sykes (c)
Johannesburg City Pro has been dead for some time now.
The JCP Championship has no true meaning to anyone else, but the two people competing for it on the night.
Why exactly would this be the main event of Night Two?
The capacity crowd would soon find out as “Light Up The Night” by The Protomen sparked a rhythmic clap within the arena. Evelyn Kuller, with the [R]evo Tag Team Championship around her waist, came out with a serious expression on her face. As she stood in the center of the stage, she rose her finger slowly, letting the light fall on her before she started out for the ring.
Erin Lambert: “Introducing the challenger...fighting out of Ellum, Texas...weighing in tonight at a 160 pounds...she is one half of the [R]evolution Pro Tag Team Champions...EVELYN KULLLLLER!
The crowd’s entire favor of Eve brought a thin smile to her face. She tried hard not to fall out of the focus she brought on. As she lingered in the ring, there was only one thing left before the war. The militant drum beat of “The Eyeballs of War” brought on a tension in Evelyn’s face as the crowd began to turn from their love for Evelyn to their disdain for the man coming out. With the JCP Championship lazily in his grip, Ricky stood at the entranceway with a look of equal hate towards the audience and the woman in the ring. He absently scratched under his chin before giving a section of the crowd the V sign.
Erin Lambert: “And introducing the champion...fighting out of Sunderland, England...weighing in tonight at a 211 pounds...he is the reigning and defending JCP Champion...RICKYYYYYYYYYYY SYYYYYKEEEES!”
Once Ricky enters the ring, he closes the distance between himself and Evelyn and shoved her into the corner, sparking the referee to get involved. Evelyn stood in the corner, a little thrown off that such a thing happened. The pleasantries came and went, where the referee rose the championship. When the bell rung, the two competitors met face-to-face once more. Ricky brought his forearm into Evelyn’s face, who returned it with harder force. Evelyn took over, grabbing onto Ricky’s head and laying into him before Ricky raked the eyes. Free from his pain, Ricky began to beat Evelyn down, whatever fury that he walked into the arena went on full blast.
Evelyn got away by shoving him off and hitting the ropes, but she came back into a back elbow strike that sent her out of the ring. Ricky ran off the ropes and flew out with a forearm smash, sending Evelyn into the announcer table.
Ceres Benton: “Please don’t break our table. Salem and Skylynn almost broke it yesterday!”
Ricky didn’t seem to have the idea as he took Evelyn and hurled her towards the steel steps. She stopped herself there, but Ricky was hot on her trail. Evelyn turned around met his attempt at a punch with a clean block. Ricky was fast, though, attacking her gut with a lower blow. Once doubled over, Evelyn’s head was forced into the steel not once, not twice, but three times. He wasn’t finished, peppering her with slaps and headbutts until he was satisfied with the blood broken out over the bridge of her nose. Ricky sent Evelyn into the ring, following through and tightening his elbow pad.
Picking up Evelyn was easy enough, but hitting Sykosis was harder. Especially when Ricky got the spit smacked out of his mouth. As Ricky turned around to contemplate what just happened, he got smacked again. Evelyn kept smacking him until she was able to wind up a closed fist and knocked Ricky right in the eye with it. It wasn’t her target, but she didn’t seem to care as Ricky crumbled to the mat. Evelyn rolled her tongue around in her mouth before picking Ricky up. The crowd, Ricky, and the referee was shocked that Evelyn just pulled that out.
Truthfully, it was a manifestation of all the problems she was dealing with across the board. Ricky was just another one, someone she thought had a shred of decency in them. She took a look at the JCP Championship propped up at the ringside. Evelyn whipped Ricky into the corner, running after him hitting a running kick to his gut. She took Ricky by the neck and shifted around the turnbuckle, driving him down into the mat with a Tornado DDT. She went for the cover and got a two count. Ricky abandoned the ring after the fact, staring at Evelyn, who paced the ring, nary a look of the energetic, but competitive spirit. It wasn’t even rage. It was just a cold seriousness.
Elizabeth LeSage: “Hey, I thought Evelyn was supposed to be that cute waifu material? She’s still waifu material, but now she’s all murder mode.”
Ceres Benton: “I’m not entirely sure--”
Jin Fumei: “People like Evelyn have a gauge of how much shit they can take before they decide to let it out. Tonight’s that night.”
Evelyn stepped back to her corner, letting Ricky get back into the ring. Ricky straightened up, knowing that he had to approach the match a little differently now. He checked his mouth and pressed forward, putting up his boxing guard again. Evelyn evaded some punches by dipping her head to the side in quick bursts. Ricky dodged some punches himself, bobbing and weaving. He snuck a slap into the mix, not able to resist. Evelyn’s head arched back, leading to him popping her in the mouth with another punch. Evelyn retaliated by kicking him in the gut and yanked him up and down with a Twisting Brainbuster. Ricky held his neck but got to keep himself off the ground. Evelyn brought him back down with The Will of One (Running Single Leg High Knee)! The crowd was on their feet as Evelyn tried for Sheer Heart Attack (Galleria), but Ricky managed to hit her with a European Uppercut to escape.
He turned on a dime and hit her in the jaw with his KO Punch. Evelyn fell into the ropes and made sure to knock to the mat with his Yakuza Kick. The cover came and Ricky nodded his head to the count, but exasperation crossed his features as Evelyn got the shoulder up. Ricky looked at the JCP Championship before getting up to yell at the referee. The referee told him two, so Ricky begrudgingly went over to pick Evelyn up. She was still hurt enough for him to get her into the Pumphandle for Sykodriver (Pumphandle Piledriver). Evelyn hung on and reversed it into a Tombstone position. Ricky wriggled out himself, shoving his knees back until he was able to fall to the mat.
Evelyn leaped up and crashed his face with Out of Time (Double Foot Stomp to The Face)! The crowd got on their feet, but Evelyn fell to the mat, the blood rushing from her head catching up with her. When she went to go, the crowd’s cheers turned to boos. Ricky, through sheer willpower, shoved himself out of the ring. Evelyn recovered enough strength to get herself to move towards the ropes. As she did, though, the familiar sound that understood stretched out throughout the audience.
CRACK!
Ricky brought up a chair into Evelyn’s face, sending her back into the ring. The referee, seeing this, had no other choice. Ricky, himself, stumbled around until he was able to clutch his JCP Championship. The crowd panned heavily as Evelyn started to get to her feet.
Erin Lambert: “As a result of disqualification, here is your winner...EVELYN KULLER!”
The camera stayed on Ricky as he hopped over the barricade with a satisfied grin on his face.
Erin Lambert: “That being said, championships cannot change hands via disqualification.”
Evelyn stood in the corner, getting assistance from the referee. She narrowed her eyes at the back of Ricky’s head.
Erin Lambert: “So still JCP Champion...RICKY SYKES!”
Ricky escaped tonight. Evelyn’s face told the tale of how the rivalry was far from over.
WINNER: Evelyn Kuller via Disqualification (Chair Shot)
"Hoping to bring efedding a few good steps forward."
