WRESTLING INFORMATION
WRESTLING STYLE: Over his career Gray’s morphed into a kind of jack of all trades, master of none type. Trained by strong style practitioners, he would develop an aerial affinity on his own before a neck injury led him to shy away from that out of irrational fear and work on expanding what he does on his feet instead. There’s plenty of things he can bust out, but they’ll never be as good and crisp as someone that specializes in them. MATCH TACTICS: Methodical, Gray works at a steady pace, preferring to not let out too much energy unless needed. He uses this pace to zone in on weak points and work out the best plan of attack, then start expending his energy to work on those. But when things get out of hand and start to look dire for him, he can slip into desperation and start throwing things at the wall to see what can stick. CHARACTER PERSONALITY: Driven but morose, Gray is a far less likable person than he once was. He prefers not to interact with others at all, keeping others at arm's length. He recognizes and accepts everything he did and the consequences of them, and is weighed heavily by guilt. He doesn’t even enjoy wrestling itself, but is driven to finally succeed in it. Would not invite him to parties. CHARACTER ANALYSIS: Nicholas Gray is such a fuckup. He’s unable to stop beating himself up over his mistakes and shortcomings, and inevitably makes more mistakes trying to make up for those. All he wants is to gain that one indisputable success, something without an asterisk attached, so his infant daughter can have something to be proud of her father for. GIMMICK DESCRIPTION: The Disgraced Imperial, clawing to get his last chance at true success.

ENTRANCE INFORMATION
ENTRANCE THEME: “Anarchy Road” by Carpenter Brut ANNOUNCER INTRODUCTION: | ERIN LAMBERT: From McDonough, Georgia, USA, and weighing in at 210lbs: This is NICHOLAS GRAY!
ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION: The first sparse twinklings of a synth begin to play as Nicholas Gray strides onto the stage, a voice beginning to intone the first words of "Anarchy Road" by Carpenter Brut and causing it to bounce throughout the building.
"Skyless kingdom...of faceless apes... Sunless city and spineless shades..."
He sets off down the ramp as the song begins in full, ignoring whatever the crowd is doing this time in reaction to his appearance, just looking ahead to the ring he's about to compete in. He climbs up onto the apron, tapping the point of his foot onto the apron a few times before finally entering.
He continues to not view the crowd, instead immediately heading into a corner to wait, his eyes kept down looking at the canvas.
CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION: The first sparse twinklings of a synth begin to play as Nicholas Gray strides onto the stage, a voice beginning to intone the first words of "Anarchy Road" by Carpenter Brut and causing it to bounce throughout the building.
"Skyless kingdom...of faceless apes... Sunless city and spineless shades..."
One hand resting on the Pro Wrestling NEO [NAME] championship wrapped around his waist, he sets off down the ramp. He faces the crowd, looking out at them, not caring about their reaction as he pats the belt that is currently in his possession. He reaches the apron and climbs up onto it, tapping the point of his foot a few times onto the apron before entering the ring.
He immediately walks to the ropes and steps up onto the bottom one, unhooking the [NAME] from around his waist and hefting it up as he faced the crowd, staring them down as the singer intones the chorus of the song.
"In 2070 or so... Tenements on fire, Blazing through endless nights..."
He drops down, handing the championship to the official before retreating to a corner, leaning back in it as he looks out at the sea of people.
BIOGRAPHY
Waste your potential for years and years, because you get onto heroin and then get off it, but you ruin your big heroic comeback from that because you can’t stop feeling like you’re going to fuck up and so you do. Get some good friends and constantly try to push them away because you think you’re somehow going to ruin things for them.
Retire because you think the only solution is to get away from it entirely. Get married, start doing better. Get dragged back in, try to act like an idiot so no one will expect anything of you until you can get out. While doing that sign papers that give you the company. Get a big dream, think you can fix things. Get that friend, get some others, make wrestling better by putting a foot on the back of its neck. Find and start training a successor and she’s real talented. Almost make it to that moment you dreamed of, where you finally manage to get something right.
Ruin it.
Make a mistake. Compound it. Use that successor to deal with it. It comes back to haunt you, your friend and his wife and that successor all suffer. The company cracks apart. Get real sad. Completely seal yourself off from that life to try and fix yourself. Your baby gets born. Start getting those thoughts. Help that friend out with something. That nightmare you did is revealed to the world. Your friend cracks. Your successor disowns you. Every bit of goodwill the world had for you vanishes. A pariah. Look at your daughter. Think of how she has to grow up knowing every failure and mistake. Make another mistake, wrestle again, trying to make a legacy she can be proud of.
